Email Footer for Outlook Desktop
print icon

All staff — please use our corporate email footer.

Once you've been set up with a website profile, your email footer is automatically generated, which you'll then need to install for company email use. For MMBs with a personal social media account, you can have the link overwritten in order to place your TNM email footer.

For those who use Outlook, please use a simple signature footer (no images) for your replies and forwards.

Below are the instructions on how you can access and install your branded email footer.

EMAIL SIGNATURES: OUTLOOK

IMPORTANT! Please read before getting started!

The following instructions are for Outlook Desktop. Instructions for using Outlook in your browser / Outlook PWA can be found here.

Internet Browser

Please use Google Chrome as your internet browser when copying the footer. Other browsers have not been tested.

Review Your Personal Information

How to set up your email signature through Outlook Desktop:

Step 1. Navigate to your page

Step 2. Add /email to the end of the URL

Step 3. Copy main signature

Step 4. Paste into Outlook

Open the Outlook application on your computer. Click New Email button in the top-left hand corner.

Click the Signature button.

Then select Signatures in the dropdown menu.

Create a New Signature and give it a name.

Right-click the Edit Signature box and choose 'Keep Source Formatting' paste option

Choose which account you want to use the signature for and Save the changes

Step 5. Repeat the process with the Simplified Signature footer

Copy the Simplified Signature from your email page

Then, create another new footer and set it to be the default signature on Replies/Forwards

Step 6. TEST!

Check all the links, and send to another email address to make sure it's right.

If you have a Velocity app page in the system, the Apply Online button should link there, if not, it should go to the general Apply page.

ONTARIO AGENTS: Please ensure your licence is displayed on your footer. If it's missing, please submit here and add it manually to your footer in the meantime – it is required to be displayed.

INSTALLING ON OUTLOOK MOBILE - iOS

The 'copy signature' button will not work on iPhone, but it's possible to select the desired portion of the page. It's a finicky process and the preview will get a bunch of ugly black boxes, but, they don’t show up in the email footer when you actually send the email.

Depending on the screen size, selecting the photo may require turning the phone on its side.

The Simple Signature footer might be a better option on a phone.
