Getting Synced with a SharePoint Site

Within this document you will find a comprehensive guide on how to sync a store-specific SharePoint folder onto your personal OneDrive, as well as transfer YOUR files into the SharePoint to be accessed by others who are synced.

  1. Staring off, open Outlook and select the ‘Groups’ folder. This can be found on the far-left hand pane and should be the last folder within the list.

  1. Select the group you wish to sync out of the list and click into it. From her you will notice some of the options on the top task bar have changed, to access the SharePoint site, click into the SharePoint icon labeled ‘Files’.

  1. Clicking into files will open a Chrome tab with the corresponding SharePoint Site, select ‘Documents’ on the left hand side

  1. You now have the option to either Sync the entire Documents path like shown below:

  1. OR, you are able to select a specific folder to sync (such as a 'Client’s' folder – which will take less time in comparison to syncing all of the contents):

  1. Once the sync completes, the next step is to migrate any older documents that might need to be referenced from by your fellow SharePoint group members.
  2. Going forward, the best practice is to save all documents that need to be accessed on the SharePoint within the newly created folder with the older documents that have been migrated.

As always, if there is any confusion or difficulties, please feel free to contact IT at [email protected]
